The redesign of the festival grounds transformed the event into a reimagined city, where visitors fully immersed themselves in the wide range of genres and activities Soundstorm had to offer – from headline moments with Benson Boone, Pitbull and Cardi B, and to standout performances by regional stars such as Ayed, Zena Emad and Balqees.

Riyadh, 14 December, 2025 – From December 11 to 13, MDLBEAST’s boldest festival Soundstorm returned to Riyadh for a three-day celebration that brought together hundreds of thousands of fans to experience an expansive lineup of international and regional artists. This year, the festival grounds underwent a complete transformation, turning Soundstorm into a fully realized temporary city. With this latest edition, MDLBEAST once again pushed boundaries, signalling an exciting direction for the years ahead.
In addition to welcoming vast crowds, Soundstorm 2025 hosted more than 250 artists across its stages. The festival kicked off in spectacular fashion with Benson Boone, Post Malone, and Swedish House Mafia taking over the iconic Big Beast stage, instantly setting the tone for the days to come. With Balqees, Pitbull, Anyma, and DJ Snake following on day two, the energy only continued to build. The crowd couldn’t get enough of Big Beast, turning out in full force for Cardi B, who made her Saudi Arabia debut at Soundstorm. After sharing her excitement for weeks leading up to the show, Cardi brought that energy straight to the stage – sending the crowd into a frenzy and closing this landmark edition of the festival in truly unforgettable style.

While Big Beast returned as the festival’s main stage in a brand-new design and boundary pushing production, the wider festival grounds were completely reimagined to transform Soundstorm into a true cityscape. This year’s edition featured 14 stages, each with a clear genre focus and distinct identity. From the heart of the festival, Downtown – also known as the Eye of the Storm – visitors could easily navigate between zones. To the North, live music and genres such as R&B and hip-hop took center stage, with Park proving especially popular thanks to performances from Tyla, Zeyne, The Kid LAROI, and TUL8TE. The South offered slower, more ambient and atmospheric sounds, including Neon, a glowing 360-degree tent, and Roog, an intimate space designed for deeper, slow-building electronic sets.
The West emerged as Soundstorm’s club and techno district, where Tunnel in particular became a major focal point. Festivalgoers packed into the massive covered structure – a perfect setting for lasers and immersive visuals – dancing to sets from Calvin Harris, Fisher, Afrojack, and Armin van Buuren. The district was further energized by stages like Plexi, which hosted standout performances from Black Coffee, BLOND:ISH, and Adriatique, alongside Port, where Franky Rizardo and Honeyluv kept the crowd moving throughout the night. The East housed the festival’s heavy hitters, led by Big Beast and complemented by the new 6AG Stage, which stayed packed throughout the weekend while spotlighting regional and local talent including Ayed, Tahani Asultan, Disco Misr, and Ibrahim Alhakami.
The 2025 edition of Soundstorm Music Festival marked yet another milestone in the Middle East’s rapidly evolving and innovative music scene, with MDLBEAST firmly leading the way. Through its blend of world-class performances, immersive experiences, and city-like festival design, Soundstorm continues to set the benchmark for large-scale music events on a global stage.
